Hey everyone.
I brought a crosman 362 awhile back now. Here she is standard. I decided to fit a steel breech and red dot scope.
But the rail that I fitted closed up the gap on the steel breech so much I cant even fit a pellet into the thing.

I feel I have a couple of options..
  • Buy a new rail/scope
  • Grind down the grub screw on the front of the steel breech so I can move the whole assembly forward so the gap opens up.
  • Use my small cutting disc to cut out the side of the scope rail so it opens up the gap
  • ENTER YOUR SUGGESTION HERE SmilePLEASE
Here are some more pics to give you an idea of what I am talking about
Thanks friends

Why don't you just move the pic rail foward past the breech and the red dot back to compensate? Excuse my terrible photoship:

That is where the grub screw is at the front of the rail, it is as far forward as it will go without grinding the head off the screw.

I would flip the rail around so the canterlever is facing forward, and the square end flush with the front of the loading port - full access.
Mark there the grub screw is and then drill the underside of the rail a couple of mm deep with like a 6mm drill bit to allow the grub screw to protrude into.

Or, get one of these which would allow you to mount the red dot without the long rail...

Fixed it !
I had a think about it and used your guys help !
I removed the rail and then drilled a hole in the rail so it will fit over the grub screw in the rail and moved it forward opening up the breech.
Hey pronto heaps of room !!!!

Thanks for your help fellas.

Are you talking about the grub screw that holds the barrel into the steel breech sticking out?

If so, just take it out and either file it shorter, or replace with a shorter one.

How far away is that target ?
If it's 10m you need to keep pellet testing.
The gun is capable of way more consistent accuracy.
Its a lethal gun.
I really like them.
I was using hades and air arms. It didn't mind stoeger x field.
Ftt, went alright but for some reason stopped liking them
