any of you guys use them? I decided to get some red plastic rap and put it over the P14 i already have.. so far it looks like it is pretty bright, its getting dark soon so will head out and see how good it is.

Haven't used one for the purpose you will be, but it puts a lot less strain on the eyes if you're switching between light and no light .

Well just tested it outside. not sure what they are meant to look like so not sure if it is good of not lol. It didnt preform that well with two layers of film (40 or so meters of beam) on but  with just one layer on it will light up the trees in our back yard @ 110 meters so that ok. But it is not very red.

try using a lens filter for a camera :)

I use the red lens from cheap 3D glasses over a LED torch. The eyes of your prey stand out real good even at long range. I've only ever used the light for ratting but they don't seem to mind it at all.
